The St. Louis Cardinals are the 2011 World Series Champions for the 11th time in their franchise history! They beat the Texas Rangers in Game 7 tonight by the score of 6-2. Chris Carpenter pitched 6+ innings and David Freese and Allen Craig provided big hits. This night was awesome, but Game 6 was a historic victory in its own right. Game 6 lasted 4 hours and 44 minutes and resulted in a Cardinal 10-9 win over Texas. With Game 6 and 7 victories, the St. Louis Cardinals are true World Series Champions!!
